Thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural Rochester Get Your Rear in Gear 5K run, walk and Kids Dash. Nearly 200 people joined in this important effort to raise awareness of colorectal cancer in the Rochester Community.
Directly after participants finished, they were invited into the Runner’s Cafe set up at the entrance to the Pathways to Prevention Health Fair inside the Mayo Civic Center. There runners, walkers and the general public got to stroll through and learn more about cancer prevention, healthy lifestyle and enjoy some healthy treats. Highlights of the Fair included the “Check Your Insides Out From Top to Bottom” exhibit, the Olympus Mobile showroom and the Healthy Habits Puppet Show plus more than 30 educational exhibits. The Coalition was a proud co-presenting sponsor of the Health Fair.
Make sure to join us for next year’s event on Saturday, June 29th, during RochesterFest.
