Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk and
Children’s Half Mile Fun Run

The 2008 Twin Cities Get Your Rear in Gear 5K event was a huge success and we thank all of you who supported this effort either by participating or volunteering or donating.
Over 3,200 runners, walkers and children joined us at our new host site, Southdale Center, and walked through the beautiful city of Edina to raise awareness of this cancer, and to honor and support those battling or lost to it.
Donations are still coming in, but fundraising by Teams and Individuals, combined with the generosity of our more than 25 sponsors, will push us past $140,000 dollars.
Thanks again to all for their support. And Save the Date for 2009 – Sunday, April 19 back at Southdale Center in Edina.

You can still donate to support the MN Chapter of the Colon Cancer Coalition. Please link through Donate Now! You can also encourage someone battling colon cancer or honor someone lost to the disease on our Forget Me Nots page.
Proceeds from the event will assist the Minnesota Chapter of the Colon Cancer Coalition in their efforts ensure that all citizens of Minnesota have adequate information and access to screening for colorectal cancer and provide support for those who are diagnosed.
