Many of us wait a lifetime to meet that special friend who indelibly alters our heart and spirit forever.
Whether it is with their whimsical, fun loving, approach towards life, or their larger than life persona, their
star quality inspires you to act from your better half. Amy Kathleen Covey was that person for so many of
us. Tragically, her life was cut short in 2009 after a long battle with colorectal cancer. Amy loved Clear
Lake! She and her family have deep ties to the community, the space program, and countless
organizations in the Bay Area.

In order to celebrate Amy’s life and raise money and awareness for colon cancer, please join us at the Get Your Rear To Dempsey’s benefit fundraiser in League City, Texas.  This event helps to support the inaugural New York Get Your Rear in Gear 4 Mile Run/Walk being held June 13, 2010.
