Twin Cities Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk - ASCRS Participants






A special invitation to ASCRS conference participants:

Join runners, walkers, colon cancer patients, survivors and loved ones for this remarkable community event.  Now in it's sixth year, the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk brings together thousands of participants to increase awareness of colon and rectal cancer.  A portion of the funds raised will also help support the Research Foundation of the ASCRS. Kids Fun Run: 8:00 a.m.
5K Timed Run: 8:30 a.m.
5K Walk: 8:35 a.m.
Location: Southdale Center, Edina

Fees:
Adults: $50.00
Children: $25.00
Fees include bus transportation to and from the event site on race day and an ASCRS Team shirt.  The shuttles will run at various times Sunday morning.  Buses will be picking up in the morning at the convention center.   The schedule will be provided  on this site by Monday, May 10th.  We will also provide instructions in your race bag.   A portion of the funds raised at this event will support the ASCRS Research Foundation.

Packet Pick-up:  Volunteers from Get Your Rear in Gear will be onsite at ASCRS registration on May 15th from 9am to 6pm. Pre-registered packets and ASCRS team shirts will be available at the convention center all day Saturday.  For those of you arriving late Saturday night, we will have volunteers at the convention center on Sunday morning with your packets.  You will probably not have time to bring your bag back to your hotel.

Pasta Party: For those of you arriving early to the convention, please join us for a very special evening in honor of our survivors and sponsors.  ASCRS doctors will take part in a live and interactive "Ask the Doctor" series.  The location is gorgeous Wayzata Bay where you can take a beautiful stroll along the water.
